Description
A contemporary interpretation of traditional Japanese teaware, the Frustum Japanese Teapot by Yamatsu brings together timeless form and modern simplicity.
Made in Japan, the distinctive angular silhouette draws inspiration from traditional iron kettles of Japan’s Tohoku region. The clean black glaze is paired with a muted brass handle, creating a refined contrast that feels equally at home in a traditional tea setting or a modern interior.
The shape has been carefully reconsidered for contemporary tea drinking, from the defined edge around the body to the redesigned spout. A removable stainless-steel tea strainer is included for convenient brewing of Japanese green tea, hojicha, genmaicha, and other loose-leaf teas.
The Frustum tea series received the Red Dot Design Award 2020, recognizing its thoughtful combination of Japanese tradition and contemporary design.
Each teapot is made from Mino ware porcelain in Japan and presented in its original individual box, making it an exceptional piece for everyday tea rituals as well as gifting.
